Seteo and Planning Center Services: what each does

So read this knowing that. We checked every statement about Planning Center against its own public pages on October 30, 2026, and the sources are at the bottom. If something has changed, write to hello@seteoapp.com and we’ll fix it.

The short version

A full system, and a narrower one that starts with the sermon.

Planning Center Services is a complete service-planning system, and part of a wider family of church management products. It does a lot.

Seteo is narrower. It starts with the sermon, composes a set from your own library, puts charts on every phone, and reaches volunteers through one private link. The two overlap on plans, charts and scheduling.

Keep Planning Center if you love it. Seteo imports your songs from it.

Where it’s the stronger choice

When Planning Center is the better fit.

  • You want one system across giving, groups, check-ins and worship.
  • You want song usage reported to CCLI automatically.
  • Your team relies on SongSelect, PraiseCharts or RehearsalPack connections.
  • Your musicians rehearse with isolated parts and loops.
  • Your team is five people or fewer, and its free plan covers you.
  • You have years of plans in it and they’re working.

Where Seteo is different

What we built Seteo to do.

  • It starts with the message. The set is composed from the sermon, from songs you already have, with a reason for each pick.
  • Volunteers never make an account. One private link does all of it, and it works in any browser.
  • One price. A new volunteer never moves the bill.
  • You see who it reached. Each publish keeps a per-person record: who was emailed, who opened, and who it couldn’t reach.
  • Discord is built in. On Whole Ministry, each Sunday gets its own channel, with linked teammates added for you.

Using both

You don’t have to choose this week.

Seteo imports your songs from Planning Center. You can try a set in Seteo and leave the rest of your church where it is. See how a week runs in Seteo, or try the free chord transposer, which works for any chart.

Pricing
